Located in Kuala Lumpur’s luxury shopping, commercial and nightlife downtown district known as the Golden Triangle, the city’s first luxury property commissioned the renowned New York-based design studio Alexandra Champalimaud, to create an exceptional new environment which would be a canvas for extraordinary new experiences. The result was a transformation of the city’s iconic beacon of style and luxury which took as its inspiration the heart of The Ritz-Carlton, its ladies and gentlemen, while finely balancing the cultural and historical heritage of the property. The design imbues the property with a fresh palette of pleasing neutral shades, contemporary details and uncompromisingly high quality furnishings and finishes throughout the 364 new guestrooms and suites, restaurants and public spaces.
The transformation builds on the hotels position as the home of choice for the world’s elite including royalty and heads of state. The refreshed Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur also created a series of indulgent new experiences within its exceptionally refined surroundings. The property was renowned as Malaysia’s first around-the-clock butler service hotel and the legacy continues. Every guest is assigned their own personal butler on-call throughout their stay 24 hours a day.
The property’s Spa Village team developed a new treatment based around the experience of Asia’s first Sensory Sound Bath Room and the culinary team have introduced their own equivalent of a butler with a Chef-on-Call to tailor personalized menus and experiences for corporate and private events.
Each experience throughout The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, has been carefully refined, renewed and refreshed from the signature afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge with its extensive tea selection and new menu choices through to the new Library space with its vintage cognac and whiskies collection.
The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur commands a stellar reputation amongst sophisticated travelers as a lavish luxury landmark in the vibrant Golden Triangle of Malaysia’s capital city since it opened almost two decades ago. It has won numerous accolades and is recognized as one of the top five butler hotels in the world by The Independent. Travel & Leisure regards it one of “The Greatest Hotels in the World”, and it made the prestigious “Gold List” in Condé Nast Traveler.
The refreshed Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur is within the Starhill Gallery complex, the city’s premier luxury retail and dining destination. It also houses the largest number of global luxury brands under one roof, some of which are in Malaysia for the first time.
