Together, they will make food connoisseurs’ hearts beat faster and serve Jaeger’s "Menu des Emotions" at Cà d'Oro, the gourmet restaurant of Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains. Guests are offered two menus with five or seven courses. Both offer some of the famous André Jaeger classics, including half lobster with tandoori on Hibachi, Shanghai pasta salad or ceviche with China salmon. His dishes will also include the new interpretations from Chef Schmidberger.
André Jaeger is one of the most renowned chefs in Switzerland. From 1981 until the end of June 2015, he led the restaurant and hotel Fischerzunft in Schaffhausen. He was named "Chef of the Year" twice and has held 19 Gault Millau points for over 20 years. Moreover, Jaeger is considered a pioneer of "fusion cuisine" and setting a clear signal in the international cooking scene.
For Matthias Schmidberger and his young team, it is a very special honour to swing the cook spoon with one of the best chefs in the country.
“To be together with André Jaeger behind the stove and cook with him is a dream. Both my team and I can learn a lot from him,” said Schmidberger. “It is particularly exciting for me to see how André Jaeger plays with the variety of flavours."
The five-course menu costs CHF 190 and the seven-course menu is CHF 220. Both menu prices are per person and do not include beverages.
