RIU Hotels & Resorts rounds out its social network presence by launching its own blog. The blog will be a new platform for RIU to share information with all of its customers and followers and will also help to strengthen RIU's social network presence. In order to publicize this new tool, the chain has launched a contest inviting its followers to write a post for the new RIU blog which, among its multiple sections, will have one dedicated to learning first-hand about the experiences of its employees, friends and customers.
The blog will include assorted content related to the chain such as new openings or remodeling projects, services at the hotels, gastronomy and entertainment, information regarding social action and sustainability projects, as well as information about destinations, contests and promotions. It will also contain a section called "In Person" which will feature contributions by customers, employees and, from time-to-time, collaborations with journalists and bloggers who will provide their unique points of view on the latest developments at RIU hotels.
All guests and customers are invited to tell their favorite anecdote or experience or share what they like most about RIU by writing a post for the new RIU blog. A panel of communication experts will select the 10 best texts which, in addition to being published, will be entered into a drawing to win a stay.
