Wyndham Hotel Group today announced the opening of the 300-room Ramada Hotel & Suites Campos dos Goytacazes, the fifth property to open in Brazil under the Ramada brand with local partner Vert Hoteis, bringing the brand’s room count in the country to more than 900 rooms.

The Ramada Hotel & Suites Campos dos Goytacazes is located in a city known for being the largest oil producer in the country, and a key commercial and financial center with some of the most important public and private universities of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The property is ideally situated in the neighborhood of Pelinca, close to major shopping malls and surrounded by great leisure options, nightlife and restaurants. It is also within walking distance to Pelican Avenue and just eight kilometers from Bartolomeu Lysandro Airport.

"We are excited to announce the opening of the Ramada Hotel & Suites Campos dos Goytacazes jointly with our local partner Vert Hoteis,” said Paulo Pena, president and managing director for Wyndham Hotel Group, Latin America and Caribbean. “The newly-constructed property marks the fifth hotel under the Ramada brand to open in Brazil, a key market of focus for our business strategy to continue to grow in the region.”

“We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company,” said Érica Drumond, Vert Hotéis CEO. “Our new hotel will be the first property in the city under the globally-recognized Ramada brand, a name which resonates with international and domestic guests, making it the perfect choice for this business and educational hub.”

The new property features an outdoor swimming pool on the roof, sauna, fitness center, restaurant, business center, game room, free Wi-Fi Internet access, free hot breakfast and on-site parking. Its 300 guest rooms offer desk, safe, hair dryer, mini bar and flat screen HDTV. Its meeting space can accommodate up to 200 people for banquets and 150 people for conferences.

Properties under the Ramada brand feature attractive accommodations for the mid-market traveler. Started in 1954 in the United States, Ramada has grown to become one of the most well-known hotel chains in the world. In Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotel Group has 28 Ramada and Ramada Encore properties across 10 countries representing 2,876 rooms.
