Mamilla Hotel, Jerusalem, Israel

Located at the junction of new and old Jerusalem, Mamilla Hotel overlooks the Old City walls, the Tower of David, and the Jaffa Gate. Within walking distance of major historic sites, it offers a striking contemporary design, created by the world-renowned Piero Lissoni. Individually crafted, the 194 rooms and suites combine modern comforts with exclusive original pieces, inspired by the light and the natural materials of Jerusalem. The Rooftop Restaurant serves lunch and dinner with panoramic views of the city, while Mamilla Café is the venue for relaxed meals. Cocktails and light fare are offered in The Mirror Bar, and guests can sample kosher wines and olive oils in Winery. Additional facilities include the Akasha Wellbeing Spa, a gym and an indoor pool, as well as five banquet rooms. Rates currently start at approximately USD 370 per night, single, and USD 390 per night double, including buffet breakfast and Wi-Fi.

Majestic Hotel & Spa, Barcelona, Spain

With a history spanning nearly a century, the Majestic Hotel & Spa occupies a neoclassical building in the Passeig de Gracia, in the heart of Barcelona. Following an ambitious renovation, it embodies a timeless elegance, offering 227 rooms and 48 suites. Known as “the hotel of the arts”, it features a collection of more than 1000 notable pieces. Under the guidance of award-winning culinary advisor Nandu Jubany, the hotel serves sophisticated cuisine that pays homage to traditional Catalan products and gastronomy in Restaurant Condal and El Patio del Majestic. El Bar del Majestic and La Dolce Vitae offer cocktails and light meals. On the top floor is the MajesticSpa, an oasis of relaxation, as well as a swimming pool, solarium and terrace. There are also six conference rooms and a business center. Rates currently start at approximately USD 294 per night, single or double, including VAT. City tax is additional.

La Réserve Paris, Paris France

Due to open in February, La Réserve Paris is situated on the Avenue Gabriel, midway between the Champs-Elysées and the Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Housed in the former residence of Pierre Cardin, it offers exceptional views of the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower, the Pantheon and the Obelisk on the Place de la Concorde. With the atmosphere of a private club, it has just 14 rooms and 26 suites, with interiors by Jacques Garcia. Le Gabriel is the principal dining room, while guests can enjoy cocktails in Le Salon de Clos, Le Salon Marigny and La Bibliotheque. For relaxation there is a spa, swimming pool and gym. Rates for February are slated to start at approximately USD 924 per night, single or double, including continental breakfast, Internet access, VAT and service.

As one of the world’s largest luxury hotel brands, LHW seeks the unexpected and the exceptional for its collection. Hotels must apply for admission and undergo a rigorous quality inspection encompassing all aspects affecting guest comfort, convenience and mood. Inspection reports, based on hundreds of separate, stringent criteria, are subsequently filed with the Executive Committee whose members then vote on admittance. The result is a rich portfolio of unique properties that deliver Remarkably Uncommon travel experiences.

About The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. (LHW)

When extraordinary and one-of-a-kind intersect, you have likely found a Leading Hotel. As the largest luxury hotel collection, with more than 430 of the world’s greatest properties in over 80 countries, we seek out the exceptional. From grand palaces to intimate city hideaways, from ancient castles to sumptuous safari tent villages, from tropical aeries to mystical paradises, all are utterly unique and boldly independent. Each celebrates the culture of its destination, rather than trying to mask it with corporate-mandated sameness. Established in 1928 by several influential and forward-thinking European hoteliers, it started with 38 initial members. With our eight-decade-long commitment to providing unforgettable, authentic travel experiences, LHW selects only hotels that meet our high standards for quality and distinctiveness. To us, hospitality is not an industry; it’s an art…and our passion.
