An Austrian national with over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Maximilian has vast experience in Food and Beverage and hotel operations. After graduating with an Executive MBA from Reims Management School, Reims, France, Maximilian worked with several international hotel brands including Kempinski, Hilton, Westin, Mandarin Oriental and Conrad.
His 30 year career has covered many Asian countries and destinations such as Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia in ‘on property’ and regional roles.
During the last nine years, his career has focused on managing hotels in quickly developing Chinese cities such as Taiyuan and Wuxi. Prior to joining Jumeirah, Maximilian was General Manager and guided the pre-opening team of the landmark Hilton Hotel in Zhengzhou.
With such extensive first-hand experience in Asia and Greater China, Maximilian is poised to lead the team of passionate managers and colleagues at Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai to new heights.
