Belmond Miraflores Park unveils new restaurant and bar following four-month refurbishment (Peru)
Belmond Miraflores Park in Lima, Peru has reopened following a sophisticated four-month refurbishment, which reinforces its position as one of South America’s leading city hotels.
The chic hotel enjoys a sensational location beside the Pacific Ocean in the trendy Miraflores district, surrounded by fashionable shops and restaurants. Complementing its superb spa and rooftop horizon pool, the renovation includes a fresh new look for guest rooms and a stylish new restaurant and bar.
Guests will be greeted in the refreshed lobby and all accommodation has been remodelled with new colours and textures. Rooms on the 4th – 7th floors now feature a contemporary ambience with updated furniture and carpets, while a dedicated business level has been created on the 8th – 10th floors including exclusive Club Suites, a new 24-hour Executive Lounge and new meeting rooms. The hotel’s seven conference rooms have also been remodelled with updated décor and equipment.
Named Tragaluz, which translates as ‘Skylight’, Belmond Miraflores Park’s new restaurant is a modern yet relaxed space where guests can enjoy innovative international cuisine with Peruvian, Mediterranean and Asian flair. Fronted by Peruvian restaurateur Augusto Baertl, who also runs a high-profile restaurant of the same name in Lima’s prestigious Asia Boulevard, Tragaluz reflects Peru’s coastal culture with contemporary white walls, art hangings and a terrace for alfresco dining. The acclaimed menu includes quinoa tabbouleh with grilled calamari; green spinach gnocchi with truffled mushroom ragu; and pistachio creme brulee.
Tragaluz’s contemporary vibe is complemented by the stylish new first-floor bar, Belo, which means ‘beautiful’ in Portuguese and embraces the concept of Belmond’s ‘beautiful world’. Decorated in blue hues, the bar offers light meals and innovative cocktails with signature creations including ‘Miramar’, a blend of Peruvian pisco, Grand Marnier, orange juice, coconut and ginger ale.
The completion of Belmond Miraflores Park’s refurbishment follows the introduction of Belmond’s new brand identity, which unifies its diverse collection of luxury hotels and travel adventures. The company operates 45 hotel, rail and river cruise experiences across the globe and its Peruvian collection also includes Belmond Hotel Monsterio and Belmond Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco, Belmond Sanctuary Lodge in Machu Picchu and Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado in the Sacred Valley, as well as the luxury Belmond Hiram Bingham train.
Prices at Belmond Miraflores Park start from £212 per night, including taxes, based on two sharing a City View Junior Suite.
