Hyatt Zilara Cancun, the first adult-only all-inclusive resort to debut under the Hyatt brand, was honored with the American Automobile Association (AAA) Four-Diamond rating for 2014, reflecting an exceptional degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail, while offering upscale facilities and a variety of luxurious amenities. The new brand, owned and managed by Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V., was introduced in tandem with Hyatt Ziva in late 2013, quickly establishing itself within an elite circle, as only 5.3 percent of nearly 30,000 hotels approved by AAA make the Four-Diamond list.
“As travel demands continue to increase, we pride ourselves on providing the evolution of all-inclusive luxury, including high-quality, heartfelt customer service our guests have come to know and love,” said Bruce Wardinski, President & CEO for Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V. “We are excited about the instant recognition for Hyatt Zilara Cancun, as it’s a true testament to our associates’ hard work and dedication, bringing the experience of effortless indulgence to life. We have big plans to grow both Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara throughout the Caribbean -- in fact, Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, Jamaica will open this November and shortly thereafter, Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta and Hyatt Ziva Cancun,” added Wardinski.
The AAA Diamond rating process is one of the most trusted hotel and restaurant rating systems in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean. This reliable practice involves AAA inspectors visiting hotels unannounced for inspection and member feedback. Properties must meet 27 requirements for comfort, cleanliness, security and safety, and hotels receiving Four-Diamond designations are considered upscale in all areas and are also recognized for being refined and stylish with an enhanced level of quality throughout.
These new brands redefine the all-inclusive segment through guest listening and innovation, allowing Hyatt to own the evolution of all-inclusive luxury. Hyatt Ziva focuses on guests of all ages while Hyatt Zilara exclusively focuses on adults. Resorts flagged under the Hyatt Ziva brand capture the fun and vitality of a resort stay, encouraging everyone to celebrate life’s pleasures and foster lasting connections. Hyatt Zilara resorts, derived from the word “exhilarate,” inspire guests to embrace new discoveries through adult-only, activity-driven experiences.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun is a luxurious adult-only, all-suite, all-inclusive resort located on the widest stretch of beach in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. Boasting breathtaking views of the Caribbean, this world-class resort offers a remarkable assortment of upscale amenities, including 15 palate pleasing restaurants, bars and lounges, 24-hour suite service, Cancun’s only ocean view spa, wine and spirits tastings, enhanced pool and beach butler service, more than 21,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space impeccable for conventions, business gatherings and one-of-a-kind weddings. In this picturesque locale, the 307-room, all-suite resort is located only 15 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from the Cancun International Airport, allowing guests to experience traditional Mexican warmth with intimate yet casual elegance.
