"Our ongoing transactional success in Asia demands that we have an operational complement to assure a seamless transition from development to the welcoming of guests," states Michael Shindler, executive vice president, Hotels & Casinos for Hard Rock International. "We sought a leader who knows our brand, can aid in our pursuit of new opportunities and understands the challenges of operations in varying cultures."

A talented veteran of the industry, Lee brings more than 20 years of international hospitality experience to his new position. In addition to his extensive history in luxury resorts and hotels, Lee's tireless energy, spirited leadership and tenacious attention to detail is evident in several successful renovation projects and hotel openings he has accomplished.

"I am thrilled to continue my growth within Hard Rock International, as well as expand my industry knowledge through the Hard Rock Hotels in Asia," states Andrew Lee, regional director of hotel operations, Asia Pacific. "I look forward to leading the operational elements of this collection of hotels, as well as continuing to uphold the operational standards and Hard Rock vibe at these properties."

In his previous role as General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel at City of Dreams in Macau, Lee was instrumental in leading a team of more than 300 employees for the opening and ongoing operations of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Macau. As the hotel brought forth new and exciting service concepts into the market, Lee and his team created memorable experiences for guests through Hard Rock's signature service offerings. City of Dreams is an integrated urban entertainment resort developed by Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, an entertainment company listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.

Prior to joining the Hard Rock team in October 2008, Lee was Rooms Division Manager at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. Over a period of three years, Lee successfully led the hotel through an extensive renovation and renaming exercise, repositioning it as one of the leading luxury hotels in Singapore and across Southeast Asia. The Mandarin Oriental Singapore is an iconic establishment renowned for its world-class service, warm hospitality and attention to detail, having won successive international awards from Conde Nast Traveller , Travel + Leisure , AAA and Michelin to name a few.

Lee will report to Andrea Melotti, head of operations for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, who added, "Hard Rock International's strategy for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos across Asia requires diversity, experience and determination. Andrew has a contagious passion for the Hard Rock brand, and his experience and accomplishments align impeccably with our goals for operation and development in the region."
