… ALHI Now Features 22 Caribbean Meeting & Incentive Options; One&Only Ocean Club, Paradise Island, Bahamas, and Panama’s InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa join As Newest Resorts in Collection

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has significantly expanded the Caribbean area meeting and incentive options in its worldwide portfolio, leading to the launch of the new “ALHI Caribbean Collection” specialty segment. The ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) now features 22 Caribbean meeting and incentive options in 11 countries and territories, making it the Caribbean’s largest luxury-level portfolio that serves the meetings and incentive marketplace. The “ALHI Caribbean Collection” features more luxury resorts for meetings and incentive programs in the Caribbean than Westin, Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, Hilton, and Four Seasons, respectfully. The newest Member additions to ALHI’s worldwide portfolio in the “Caribbean Collection” are the extraordinary One&Only Ocean Club, on Paradise Island, Bahamas, and the impressive InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa in Panama City, Panama. The latter represents ALHI’s first member resort in Panama. These follow ALHI’s recent portfolio additions of 9 exceptional new Member resorts for M&I located in six different countries, specifically Sandals Resorts International’s “Luxury Meetings & Incentives Collection” resorts, with fabulous locations in The Bahamas, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Grenada, Antigua, and Saint Lucia.

“ALHI has become the big fish in the Luxury Caribbean Resorts picture by significantly expanding our luxury-level Members based in the Caribbean region,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “Caribbean meetings and incentives are definitely on the upswing, and ALHI is poised to assist planners with incredible meeting and incentive options. The new specialty segment was specifically created for planners wanting to explore Caribbean options for their programs, and we are anxious to help them find the best option for their objectives.”

ALHI Now With 12,000 Rooms & 550,000 Square Feet of Meeting Space in Caribbean

The new “ALHI Caribbean Collection” specialty segment complements ALHI’s other 11 specialty segments that are so popular with planners searching for solutions. With the latest Member additions, the “ALHI Caribbean Collection” is the largest collection of luxury-level meeting and incentive resorts in the Caribbean area. ALHI’s Caribbean Collection – which also features options in Antigua, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, and Turks & Caicos -- is five times larger than that offered by Ritz-Carlton, seven times larger than Four Seasons, twice the size of Westin, and three times the size of Hilton. With the addition of the new and recently added Caribbean area members, ALHI augments its Caribbean and worldwide portfolio with its newest two more “Gems.” ALHI’s portfolio and “ALHI Caribbean Collection” now feature a collective total of more than 12,000 guest rooms and over 550,000 square feet of meeting space in the Caribbean area.

“The Caribbean is hot, hot, hot with demand in the meetings and incentive marketplace,” said Gabri. “We are very proud of our position to offer the best of the Caribbean and to add the exceptional One&Only Ocean Club and the beautiful InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa. These resorts, and our new ‘ALHI Caribbean Collection,’ provide terrific options that can cater to the needs of both meeting and incentive groups, including all-inclusive group options, or not. Planners should speak with their ALHI GSO professional in their area to identify the resort or resorts that will best suit their group’s needs, desires, and budgets. So if your group is considering a program in the Caribbean, this new specialty segment, and our team’s in-depth knowledge of each of these resorts, will prove to be invaluable in identifying and selecting the right destination and facility for your group.”
