“Mike’s appointment supports our Ambition 2015 strategy to build a global team and organization,” explained Kirschke. “He brings solid legal experience in the hospitality industry to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group along with strength in business innovations. His extensive negotiation and litigation experience, background in developing and executing company strategies for a geographically diverse team of lawyers in North America, Europe and Asia—will be an asset in his new position.”
Key responsibilities include creating an integrated legal strategy for our brands, including brand management and operations in the Americas, provide legal expertise and support for strategic transactions, manage franchise legal documents, create and execute management contracts, manage operating licensing and contracting needs for our owned and management properties and support the legal needs of all of our revenue generating teams.
Andrew joins Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group from Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, where he was senior vice president and deputy general counsel. Andrew joined Marriott International Inc. in 1999 and worked as corporate counsel, senior counsel and assistant general counsel. Previously, Andrew was an associate at Taylor & Carls, P.A. and an associate litigation attorney at Holland & Knight LLP.
Andrew earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Fla., and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida.
