2013:RAFFLES HAINAN will be Raffles' second property in China after Raffles Beijing Hotel, opening in Spring 2013. With long stretches of pristine sandy beaches and year-round sunshine, Hainan is China's answer to the French Riviera and a rising star in the luxury tourism market, known to many as "the Cannes of the East" - and a strong rival to resort destinations such as Bali and Phuket. With a beachfront location at Clearwater Bay, Raffles Hainan will have 299 rooms - the largest in Hainan starting at 80sqm - and 32 villas, all with private balconies and ocean views. Rooms will be split between two wings - one designed in a Balinese style, and the other inspired by Asian ethnic hill tribes - with villas lining the resort. A large signature Raffles Spa, restaurants and private events spaces will sit alongside Hainan's homage to the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel Singapore, in tribute to the Hainanese bartender who created the Singapore Sling. Clearwater Bay will be Hainan's new hotspot, with plans for two championship golf courses, a shopping mall, yacht clubs and a 200-berth marina for sailing and water sports hub.
RAFFLES ISTANBUL ZORLU CENTRE will open for summer 2013. The hotel will be a key feature of the new Zorlu Center, one of the largest developments the city has seen for many years, Turkey's first and only mixed-use project with five functions which will bring together a performing arts centre, offices, residential property, retail and the hotel - all with a Bosphorus view.
The hotel's design will reflect the cultural and characteristic features of Istanbul, with 130 large guestrooms and 50 suites. The hotel will have a ballroom with a 1,200 person capacity, two restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a heliport. It will also be home to a signature Raffles Spa, which is set to be one of the largest spas in Istanbul at approximately 3,000 square-metres.
Hotel guests will have direct access to the Performance Arts Centre, which will offer world-class dramas and musicals simultaneously with their openings in London and Broadway.
RAFFLES JAKARTA will be at the heart of the central business district, set in Ciputra World Jakarta, a prestigious new development with luxury brand boutiques, office buildings and an art museum. Raffles Jakarta will feature 180 exquisitely-designed rooms and suite - with guestrooms ranging from a minimum of 60 square metres to 240 square metres for the sublime Raffles Suite.
While in residency at Raffles Jakarta, guests can look forward to enjoying a varied and innovative selection of cuisine and cocktails at the all-day dining restaurant, the specialty Chinese restaurant, the Bar & Grill, the Lobby Lounge or the Pool Bar. The hotel will also feature a ballroom which occupies 2,500 square metres and four meeting rooms for conference and meeting facilities for corporate retreats. With a generously sized signature Raffles Spa occupying 1,100 square metres, residents at Raffles Jakarta will also be able to enjoy a rejuvenating journey of living well, with the spa's extensive range of massage and wellness treatments.
