This comprehensive new fitness and wellbeing space, designed by leading hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany (who designed both Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Bar Boulud at the hotel), will include a 17-metre indoor stainless steel swimming pool with deck with beautifully bespoke loungers, internet stations, and male and female changing rooms. The fitness centre has been tailored to the cosmopolitan, luxury traveller and boasts Corian screens used to create privacy and Technogym®, the international gold standard for premium, personalised wellness equipment. The sophisticated indoor swimming pool is enclosed by stainless steel and glass, and features a discreet, modern fireplace, an intricately crafted mosaic wall and a waterfall feature. The accompanying changing area offers several post-workout indulgences including a sauna and steam room, revitalizing experience showers and a relaxation area.

Tihany has taken inspiration from Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Asian roots, mindfully incorporating the five elements (water, fire, earth, metal and air) into a balanced composition. The opening of the new swimming pool and fitness centre will further enhance Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park’s position as the ultimate destination in London for both leisure and business travellers, and will be available for a limited private membership as well.

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has teamed up with Sculpt, the exclusive health and fitness consultancy, to offer both members and guests’ a complete menu of wellness services. With a holistic approach which looks at lifestyle, nutrition and work environment, Sculpt’s passionate team of experts include personal trainers, nutritionists and a physiotherapist under the guidance of former international swimmer David Jones.
