Legend of the Seas will “wow” guests with acclaimed industry enhancements, such as Royal Caribbean’s popular complimentary and specialty dining options which give diners the choice to expand their palates, namely Chops Grille, the popular signature steakhouse; Izumi Asian Cuisine with its sushi, sashimi and hot rock (ishiyaki) plates; the exclusive Chef’s Table for a gourmet five-course menu with wine pairing for 12 guests only; and Park Café which serves paninis, soups, salads made to order, in the Solarium indoor pool. Guests can also relax in the new and refreshed spots for drinks at the 60’s-inspired R Bar and Viking Crown Lounge nightclub.
Onboard entertainment options now include an outdoor movie screen, perfect for alfresco movie viewing and the addition of aerial entertainment experiences in the Centrum at the heart of the ship. As for parents, they can now leave their babies and tots of 6 to 36 months at the care of the new Royal Babies & Tots Nursery.
All staterooms have been renovated with a contemporary décor and furnishings and flat-panel TVs. A number of Ocean View Staterooms have been converted into balconies. New stateroom categories have also been added which are the Family Junior Suite and Superior Ocean View Staterooms with floor to ceiling windows.
Technology enhancements feature the Digital Wayfinders, touchscreens in public areas which show the day’s programme and information on venues, services and menus onboard in six different languages including English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean; and ship-wide Wi-Fi.
Through February and March, guests can enjoy the newly revitalized ship as she sails Southeast Asian itineraries from her Singapore homeport. Itinerary options include the 3-night cruises to Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), the 4-night cruises to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) and Phuket, the 5-night cruise to Bangkok (Laem Chabang) and Koh Samui, and the new 7-night cruise to Puerto Princesa, Kota Kinabalu and Bandar Seri Begawan. Beginning in April, the ship will sail a four night Southeast Asia itinerary roundtrip from Singapore and then reposition to Europe for the summer season. Legend of the Seas will divide her 2013 Europe summer between the Italian homeports of Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice. The ship will then return to the Caribbean in November to offer Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal sailings.
