Mr Joseph Lam, Azamara Club Cruises’ Hong Kong representative said, “We are pleased to bring Azamara Journey to Hong Kong for the first time, where her guests can truly experience our city’s many attractions day and night with the ship’s overnight stay here. With the brand’s “Longer Stays, More Overnights and Night Touring” style, her guests can enjoy for instance Stanley Market, Aberdeen and Victoria Peak at night.”

Commissioner Yung said, “It is my great pleasure to celebrate the maiden call of Azamara Journey to Hong Kong. Mr Anthony Lau, HKTB Executive Director said: “We are pleased to welcome the maiden call of Azamara Journey to Hong Kong, Asia’s World City. The arrival of this luxurious cruise ship is a testament to Hong Kong’s appeal as a ‘must-visit’ destination and a major cruise hub in the region. We are especially excited that Azamara Journey is making an overnight stay, so that passengers can enjoy our city’s diverse land-based experiences. As our new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal gets ready for operation this year, we look forward to working closely with Azamara Club Cruises to develop more cruise products featuring Hong Kong, and tap into the vast potential of cruising in the region .”

Azamara Journey recently underwent a refurbishment in January in Singapore. Shipwide renovations included new carpets, upholstery, and a new color palette in public spaces; new mattresses and upgraded veranda furniture for suites and staterooms; and a resurfaced pool, and new sun loungers on the outer decks.
