Meliá Hotels International presented today at FITUR its new corporate website www.meliahotelsinternational.com. The website aims to increase the transparency of corporate information for all of its different stakeholders, and has also been designed following usability and accessibility guidelines which ensure access for people with disabilities.

Using the same look and feel, the website consolidates corporate and institutional information and has been built by Technosite, part of the ONCE Foundation, Meliá Hotels International’s key partner in matters of accessibility and the integration of people with disabilities in the workplace.

During the presentation at FITUR, Gabriel Escarrer, CEO and Vice Chairman of Meliá Hotels International, said that "as a result of our cooperation with the ONCE Foundation, we have eliminated barriers to access to our new institutional website, enabling people with disabilities to use the website in the same way as everyone else."

In terms of content, the new website aims to provide relevant information for all of its stakeholders to enhance corporate transparency. The site is divided into six main sections. The first includes a comprehensive presentation of the company, its brands, its management structure, and its corporate values. The second section is for shareholders, including quarterly and annual financial reports, financial presentations, stock market analyst recommendations, and information on corporate governance, amongst other things. The third section is a new press room, with a new documentation centre, news archive and other useful resources for the media.

The fourth section is for company expansion and development, including details of the business model, brands, the team, and distribution channels, all aimed at better informing potential investors and hotel owners seeking to partner with Meliá Hotels International. The fifth section is focused on sustainability and corporate social responsibility, including the company's public commitments on social and environmental issues. Finally, the sixth section offers employment opportunities worldwide plus information on talent management, training and development of team members.
