BMW of North America announced today the expansion of a partnership with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts that will offer complimentary local shuttle service in BMW vehicles at all Fairmont properties in the United States. The U.S. program will be an extension of a program that was initially launched in Canada and will feature the BMW 750i Sedan.
Exclusive to Fairmont President’s Club, members taking advantage of the benefit may be chauffeured for a range of purposes. For example, frequent guests can check out complimentary TaylorMade golf clubs at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa and be driven to nearby Sonoma Golf Club for a morning on the links. In New England, Fairmont Battery Wharf guests heading out for dinner on the town can utilize the free shuttle service for a restaurant drop off in Boston’s culinary hip North End. For a trip to the local mall, museum, convention center, lunch meeting or more there are myriad reasons for both business and leisure travelers to hop in for a quick ride.
“BMW is happy to expand its partnership with Fairmont and I am confident that guests who take advantage of this service will enjoy spending as much time in our vehicles as they do in their rooms at the luxurious Fairmont properties,” said Dan Creed, Vice President of Marketing, BMW of North America. “I hope that our presence serves to enhance each guest’s overall experience.”
Initially launched in 2009, the BMW / Fairmont partnership already includes all Fairmont locations in Canada and features both the BMW 7 Series Sedan and BMW X5. The brands continue to work closely on a number of exciting co-branded marketing opportunities and will continue to extend special benefits and privileges to BMW owners staying at Fairmont properties. Fairmont also offers a complimentary hotel bicycle service featuring BMW Cruise Bikes at its locations globally. The state-of-the-art bikes grant active and adventurous travelers the opportunity to tread lightly on the environment and explore the landscapes of Fairmont’s distinctive locales on a dynamic mode of transportation.
“Expanding our chauffeured car service with a respected partner like BMW was an easy decision,” said Brian Richardson, Vice President, Brand Marketing & Communications. “It’s a benefit that our frequent guests truly value and it allows us to expand on our focus of enhancing the stay experience and ensuring Fairmont guests have an opportunity to explore and connect with the destination.”
With the 7 Series, BMW raised the standard for maximum performance and luxury in the premium vehicle class. The 7 Series Sedan is firmly established within BMW’s model portfolio as top of the line, delivering the highest level of driving refinement in its segment with more offerings, performance and driving dynamics than its competition with class leading enhancements, options and packages.
The BMW X5 is characterized by well-balanced proportions that accentuate the vehicle’s powerful presence and agility. A long wheelbase, short front and rear body overhangs, and large light-alloy wheels provide a visual balance between the front and rear of the vehicle. Square-shaped, carefully flared wheel arches hint at the X5’s all-wheel drive traction and other-roads capability. The body lines sweep upwards from the front and rear wheels, communicating BMW’s near perfect 50-50 front-rear weight distribution which is so essential to the X5’s legendary driving dynamics.
Fairmont President's Club provides frequent guests of Fairmont with special benefits and privileges designed to reflect individual travel preferences and offer an enhanced level of service. Personalized travel profiles afford members customized stay experiences while in-hotel benefits include complimentary high-speed and wireless internet, Fairmont Fit running gear and athletic apparel by Reebok, a members-only reservations line, expedited check-in and check-out, and access to exclusive vacation offerings.
