Located in the heart of the Luberon Mountains, La Bastide de Gordes & Spa is the third MGallery establishment in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, where it also operates the Grand Hotel Beauvau in Marseille and the Grand Hotel Roi René in Aix-en-Provence. La Bastide de Gordes & Spa is a warm, intimate five-star residence located in one of France’s most beautiful villages. With its surrounding natural landscapes, it is a haven of peace just 30 minutes from Avignon-Caumont airport and 45 minutes from Avignon’s TGV high speed train station.

La Bastide de Gordes & Spa, a luxury establishment in the heart of the Luberon Mountains
This fabulous 16th century building is bordered by terraces that used to be the village ramparts. La Bastide de Gordes & Spa is set into the mountainside in the center of the village of Gordes and boasts a breathtaking view of its unspoiled natural surroundings and the Luberon Mountains.
The hotel’s 26 rooms and 12 suites are sober and refined. They all have a clear, peaceful view of either the Luberon mountains or the village and some suites even have their own private terrace. Like the rooms, the bathrooms are very spacious and feature hand-crafted tiles.
La Bastide’s gastronomic restaurant is an acknowledged “Grande Table”, or fine dining establishment, in the region. Guests can enjoy lunch or dinner in the large, tranquil vaulted dining room or in the shade on the establishment’s sunny terrace.
The Chef serves authentic, refined cuisine inspired by regional produce. The hotel’s wine steward recommends wines from the establishment’s cellar which boasts 800 different wines and 20,000 bottles.
The hotel also boasts an 800m2 Sisley Spa, which can be accessed directly from the rooms or from outside In this area devoted to the peace and well-being of both body and mind, guests can enjoy “Sisley Phyto-Aromatiques” treatments and massages. The Spa’s many facilities include: a double cabin, five treatment cabins, a chromatic pool with massaging water jets, bubble seats, a jacuzzi and geysers, a Turkish bath, a solarium, a fitness room, an herbal tea room and a relaxation room.
Driven by the same passion, the owner of this luxurious hotel, has managed La Bastide for nearly 25 years. He is responsible for initiating several projects to develop this remarkable five-star establishment and always seeks to anticipate the needs of his guests. The latest project is the gradual renovation of all the hotel’s rooms in a refined, contemporary style.
MGallery has two other exceptional establishments in this region: the Grand Hotel Beauvau in Marseille and the Grand Hotel Roi René in Aix-en-Provence.
The Grand Hotel Beauvau: a setting fit for a novel and the departure point for many a journey
The Grand Hotel Beauvau is located right in the center of Marseille overlooking the spectacular Old Port. It has 73 rooms and suites, including two “terrace” suites with a 180 degree view of Marseille. It is the only hotel in the city with a view of the mountains, the port, Notre Dame de la Garde and Marseille’s rooftops.
The hotel boasts traditional Provençal interiors and no less than 234 antiques in the rooms, the lobby and the corridors, all of which have been lovingly purchased over the years in Provençal antique markets.
In January 2013, the hotel will stand on Europe’s largest pedestrian square.
The Grand Hotel Roi René, an emblem of Aix-en-Provence past and present
The Grand Hotel Roi René is a blend of tradition and modernity, ideally located near the famous Cours Mirabeau and the city’s business district. Its 134 rooms are warm and contemporary with a focus on comfort. The sunny atmosphere of the patio and swimming pool invite guests to relax completely. “La Table du Roi”, the hotel’s restaurant, serves dishes inspired by traditional Midi cuisine.
