Guests can see the sights of Albuquerque without increasing their carbon footprint
Hotel Andaluz, a LEED Gold certified hotel in downtown Albuquerque, has partnered with local company Routes Rentals & Tours to offer biking options for guests, including the interactive Andalusian Adventure Tour, a “then & now” historic tour that features some of Albuquerque’s unique landscapes, architecture and cultures.
“We achieved LEED-gold status through meticulous attention to detail during the building process, but our commitment to environmentally-conscious tourism doesn’t end there,” said Howard Jacobs, General Manager of Hotel Andaluz. “From our rooftop solar thermal water heating system to providing biking options for our guests, everything we do is designed to have the least possible environmental impact. We are thrilled to offer this to our like-minded guests.”
Hotel guests can choose from a variety of guided or self-guided tours, including winery and geocaching tours. Advanced cyclists have the option to customize tours to include more challenging mountain biking trails with steep inclines and unique high desert terrain. Routes Rentals & Tours will meet guests at the hotel to either drop off bikes or depart for their guided tour. Tours can also be designed for corporate outings, social gatherings and weddings.
“Albuquerque is known for world-class biking,” said Joshua Arnold, who owns and operates Routes Rentals & Tours with his wife, Heather. “The best way to experience a new city is to get out of your car and explore. This partnership with Hotel Andaluz allows guests to do just that.”
Beginning August 13, guests can simply click on the book now button on the Andaluz web site and enter the promotion code BIKE. Packages begin at $169.
