Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has appointed Tom Garcia vice president of operations. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s chief operating officer, made the announcement.
“It is with pleasure that I welcome Tom to Benchmark Hospitality,” said Mr. Champion. “He brings to our company a comprehensive background in hotel operations that spans from Rooms to Food & Beverage, as well as demonstrated leadership abilities regionally and nationally. Tom is a terrific addition to our executive team.”
Tom Garcia was most recently vice president and regional manager for Noble House Hotels & Resorts, responsible for operational oversight of properties on both US coasts and in the Midwest. Prior to this appointment, he was managing director and regional manager for the company.
Mr. Garcia has held leadership positions at several landmark properties and for leading hospitality brands within the United States, including hotels and resorts in Dallas, Houston, Lake Tahoe, Phoenix, Key West, as well as properties within the Caribbean. These assignments included general manager, regional vice president and executive director of food & beverage positions.
Garcia is a graduate of California State University where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and in Management Information Systems. He has held leadership roles within the Dallas and Houston Convention and Visitors Bureaus, the Hotel Association of Dallas, and Downtown Dallas. Mr. Garcia and his family are relocating to The Woodlands.
