John Dimon Bendtsen to lead two properties of Centara Hotels and Resorts in Mauritius

Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels&Resorts, has announced the promotion of John Dimon Bendtsen from General Manager of Centara Grand Island Resort&Spa Maldives to Cluster General Manager of the two managed properties of Centara Hotels&Resorts in Mauritius, namely Centara Poste Lafayette Resort&Spa Mauritius and Centara Grand Azuri Residence&Suites Mauritius. He will be stationed at Centara Poste Lafayette Resort&Spa Mauritius.

John is Australian and has 20 years of international hospitality industry experience gained from working in Oceanic and Asia including several general management and regional management roles at leading resorts and hotels around Australia. He has worked at Oakwood Residence Thonglor in Bangkok, Thailand, then he joined Centara Hotels&Resorts at Centara Grand Island Resort&Spa Maldives in the position of General Manager in 2010; he was working there for 2 years prior being promoted to cluster General Manager of Centara Hotels&Resorts in Mauritius. Centara Hotels&Resorts believes this talented professional is ideal to lead both properties of Centara Hotels&Resorts in Mauritius.

Centara Poste Lafayette Resort&Spa Mauritius is set on a 500-meter stretch of white sand beach on the northeast coast of the island and will have its own diving reef. The resort is built to an intimate scale with 98 guestrooms, of which 87 face the ocean and the remainder have spectacular views of the interior mountain range of the island. All rooms have a private balcony with seating or hammocks.

Centara Grand Azuri Residence&Suites Mauritius is nestled where the river and the ocean meet, offering a stunning white sand beach and a protected lagoon, with its own Boat House catering to a myriad of leisure water activities. The resort is built with intimacy and comfort in mind and has 136 guestrooms, all with balconies and a range of ocean view rooms and stunning garden rooms with easy access to the sparkling main pool.
