One&Only Cape Town, the urban chic waterfront resort that provides an unprecedented level of luxury to South Africa, has recently hired an Arabic speaking concierge with GCC guests in mind. Madnee Mayman, an Arabic speaking South African, has been in the hospitality industry for over 12 years, and has explored the city and its surroundings to be able to share his extensive knowledge about the region with One&Only guests.
Madnee has worked as a concierge for many years at other renowned hotels in South Africa. He joins One&Only Cape Town to cater to Arab guests who have consistently increased in the last couple of years. “Personalised tours are far more popular now than group tours, especially with visitors from the Gulf,” he commented, “We at One&Only tailor-make tours to suit the individual preferences of our guests as well as their sense of privacy. We are here to help with all their needs from shopping tips, spa treatments to theatre tickets around the city.” Madnee has served as Board Member of the Jameyator Quran Gaafieth School.
“The GCC is a growing market for One&Only Cape Town, we are seeing more and more people from the GCC Countries in our resort and we would like to be able to make them feel as much at home as possible,” commented Clive Bennett, Managing Director, One&Only Cape Town when asked about the importance of an Arabic speaking team member.
This move also comes after Kerzner International opened an office in Saudi Arabia that covers all of the Gulf countries in recognition of the importance of this market. Mr Bennett added: “After seeing first-hand the growing hospitality and travel industry in the Gulf as well as the increasing interest in South Africa as a destination, we knew we had to bring something new and different to One&Only Cape town’s services.”
