Louvre Hotels Group today announces the appointment of Delphine Jaouen as Director of Asset Management and Saurabh Chawla as Director of International Development & Acquisitions. Joining the team of Chief Development Officer Matthieu Evrard, their roles will involve supporting the Group’s extensive development plans, along with its active real-estate management programme, and raising capital from private and institutional investors.
Louvre Hotels Group, which currently has 1,075 hotels, aims to open 76 more this year, including 51 internationally, and to increase the rate of new openings to 100 per year in the medium term. Today the Group has about 170 establishments in the pipeline – roughly 20,000 rooms – and is targeting high-growth markets such as India, Brazil, the Middle-East and Africa as a priority. It is also aiming to seize opportunities to gain market share in France and Europe in well-targeted segments.
With more than 10 years’ experience in the tourism and hotels industry at Accor, Delphine Jaouen is an expert in hotel real-estate financing and transactions. She started her career at KPMG and was then Internal Audit Manager of the Tourism & Leisure division at Accor, before taking up a Senior Manager role within the M&A and Hotel Real-Estate Financing management team. Her role will be managing the redevelopment of the Group’s subsidiaries portfolio, the implementation of capital raising programmes to support the Group’s development, as well as reactive management of its shares portfolio.
Possessing more than 14 years’ experience in the hotel industry in India and Europe, Saurabh Chawla has gained significant expertise in development and strategic consulting in the sector. Recently, he was a Partner at the management consultancy firm HVS in London, where he began in 2006.
His role within Louvre Hotels Group will be development outside Europe, overseeing local advancement initiatives, managing and organising international partners, as well as investments, acquisitions and financing related to development outside Europe.
