Crown Melbourne’s iconic riverwalk and spectacular fireball gas brigades feature in the newest phase of Tourism Australia’s “There’s Nothing Like Australia” global campaign and broadcast advertisement.
Crown Melbourne is the sole Victorian destination showcased in the campaign’s short film, featuring examples of Australia’s diverse and distinctive experiences.
Tourism Australia’s Managing Director, Andrew McEvoy, said, “The latest campaign highlights examples of Australia’s very best tourism attractions that showcase why there is nothing quite like Australia.”
“This new campaign creative - particularly such stunning locations as Crown’s iconic flame show - clearly demonstrate Australia’s distinctive and high quality tourism products and experiences that are amongst the world’s finest. Promoting your best attributes is a strong and proven marketing principle. By leading with Australia’s best, we believe this campaign will create a positive halo effect for Australian tourism more broadly," Mr McEvoy added.
“Out of the thousands of world-class experiences that are on offer to visitors to Australia, Crown Melbourne is thrilled to have been included in Tourism Australia’s latest advertising campaign,” commented Crown Melbourne’s Chief Executive Officer, Greg Hawkins.
In equally exciting news, Crown Towers has won the Best Large Luxury Hotel Award as part of the Readers’ Choice Australian Gourmet Traveller 2012 Travel Awards.
“The secret to Crown’s success is its unflagging attention to quality – the glittering new lobby complete with Neil Perry-run bar is a case in point – to meet the exacting expectations of its global clientele. Life at the top requires nothing less,” cited Australian Gourmet Traveller’s June issue.
The prestigious magazine’s panel of experts also named Crown Towers as runner-up as the “Best Capital City Hotel” while Melbourne was named “Best Weekend Away” destination.
Crown Melbourne continues to invest to deliver world-class experiences, such as the recently unveiled palatial villas at Crown Towers, new restaurants including Mr Hive Kitchen & Bar and The Merrywell; as well as The West End, an amazing new entertainment and dining precinct.
Crown Melbourne boasts three award-winning hotels, over 70 restaurants and bars, two day spas, conference and meeting rooms, an extensive entertainment precinct including 14 cinemas, two nightclubs and a 1000 seat live entertainment theatre, The Palms as well as 25 international and local designer boutiques. In addition, Crown Melbourne operates a fleet of limousines and three Gulfstream jets to provide ease of access to Crown Melbourne as well as its own 18 hole Capital Golf Course.
“A hallmark destination in its own right, Crown Melbourne has an ongoing commitment to attract local, national and international guests and to promote tourism to Melbourne. Conveniently housed under the one roof, Crown Melbourne’s integrated facilities operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver ‘a world of entertainment’ across accommodation, live entertainment and shopping and dining experiences,” commented Greg Hawkins.
