Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Mary Crisman-Portobanco Director of Human Resources for Hotel Contessa (United States)

Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has appointed Mary Crisman-Portobanco director of human resources for Hotel Contessa, located on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Jeff Wardlaw, Benchmark’s general manager at the property, made the announcement.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Mary to our hotel and to Benchmark,” said Mr. Wardlaw. “She comes to our property with a keen understanding of the human resources function within hospitality and is a wonderful addition to the executive team at Hotel Contessa.”

Mary Crisman-Portobanco was previously human resources director for Barceló Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in the Dominican Republic. Previous to this she served in the same role for Hilton Hotels in Manalapan, Florida, where she began with the company as vacation club sales associate.

Ms. Crisman-Portobanco is a graduate of Florida International University with Bachelors degree in Business Management. She is a certified Human Resources Management professional within the State of Florida. Crisman-Portobanco relocated to San Antonio for professional reasons, but also to support her son who received a scholarship to Schreiner University. They will be joined by her daughter.
