The Ritz-Carlton, Doha welcomes Jeremy Steele’s return on April 22, 2012 as a special guest chef at La Mer, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant for three months. Chef Steele is a vibrant and passionate Australian chef whose signature style celebrates local produce and fresh flavors, engaging all of the senses.
Chef Steele has worked and traveled extensively in Europe, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, having worked for several years at exclusive resorts. His culinary philosophy has been influenced, in particular, by his experiences in Nordic and Japanese cuisines, which emphasize freshness, seasonality and sustainability, and he utilizes contemporary techniques to bring the best out of his ingredients in surprising ways.
Following a successful appearance at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha Festival of the Senses 2011, Chef Steele has been invited to return to the kitchen of the hotel's La Mer signature restaurant as guest chef. He will introduce his eclectic, produce-driven style with a local twist, utilizing the world's best produce including the Gulf's famous seafood, and looks forward to immersing himself in the vibrant culture of Qatar and working with the talented Ritz Carlton team. He will also be employing his extensive experience as a cooking teacher to deliver classes and workshops to guests.
