If inspiration and personal transformation are at the core of the wellness movement, the Holistic Hawaii Expo scheduled this fall at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort is designed to help transport wellness-seekers there.

The health and wellness expo, scheduled for September 23 and 24, 2006, on Hawaii's Big Island, will feature two full days of hands-on demonstrations, exhibits, speakers, workshops, natural therapies, new technologies, musical entertainment and a lavish whole foods buffet, collectively covering wellness options, beauty, fitness, anti-aging, personal growth and positive living.

"Now in its tenth season, Holistic Hawaii Expo continues to be a haven for those seeking knowledge, information, complementary and alternative approaches, services and products which inspire, empower and help to create
healthier and more vibrant lives," said Sharman O'Shea, executive producer of the expo.

Even the site of the expo is meant to contribute to an atmosphere conducive to personal well-being. The Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort is located in a culturally rich and historically significant area, overlooking large tide pools sheltering wild, endangered Hawaiian sea turtles. On the hotel grounds are a number of native treasures, such as ancient heiau (temples), freshwater bathing pools once used by royalty, and beautiful gardens landscaped with native and indigenous plants.

Holistic Hawaii Expo attendees and participants are eligible to book a room at the hotel at a special "Holistic Hawaii Expo" rate available from September 21 to 25, 2006.

The Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort is located in scenic Kailua-Kona, adjacent to Kahaluu Bay Beach Park. The hotel offers meeting facilities, restaurants, salon and spa services, tennis courts, pool, shopping, ancient historical sites and Hawaiian cultural programs for adults and children.
