Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Bibiana Galindo controller for Marenas Resort, located in picturesque Sunny Isles Beach north of Miami. Marenas Resort is a Benchmark Personal Luxury Resorts & HotelsSM property. Jim Franklin, general manager for the resort, made the announcement.
“It is a pleasure to announce Bibiana’s promotion to controller,” said Mr. Franklin. “She brings two decades of solid financial experience to her new role, and we look forward to her leadership in the accounting function at our property.”
Bibiana Galindo was most recently assistant financial controller for Marenas Resort. During her career she has held positions as condominium accounting manager, internal revenue auditor, and assistant director of finance for properties within major hotel brands, including Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Ms. Galindo began within the hospitality industry working in the Rooms and Food & Beverage departments before turning to Accounting. Earlier in her career, she was employed in manufacturing and international trading in Colombia.
Galindo is a graduate of San Martin University of Bogota, Colombia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing. She achieved her Masters of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the American Intercontinental University. Ms. Galindo resides in the Miami area.
