Bodo will compete in the International Receptionist of the Year event in Prague this January.
For the second consecutive year, Céline Bodo of Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris has won the David Campbell Trophy, presented by the Association of the Front Desk Managers to the national winner of Receptionist of the Year competition.
Founded in 1992, the contest is based on multiple tests where candidates are judged on their industry knowledge, and their ability to speak English. Their skills are tested on how to manage a conflict. The final step is an interview with five members of the Association, where the candidates explain their passion for the profession, motivation and ambition.
The first phase of the qualification was held in November and was attended by no fewer than 40 candidates from the Parisian region. Twelve finalists qualified during the written test and passed to the second part of the contest on December 9, where they showed their practical skills. The jury of 15 professionals judged every candidate on the reactions and solutions they found to satisfying guests expectations. In the final phase, Bodo rose above and was awarded the national prize.
Bodo has been a receptionist at Four Seasons Hotel George V since August 2010. She is 30 years old and a graduate of the Tunon Tourism School in Strasbourg.
She is very proud to have won this prestigious contest and is delighted to represent France at the International Competition to be held in Prague from January 18 to 22, 2012.
