With the 2012 Tourism Season just around the corner, Anguilla is moving into high gear as it gets ready to receive visitors to its stunning shores.

Anguilla's crown jewels, her 33 pristine white sand beaches, are as beautiful and inviting as they always have been, some now sporting even more powder-soft white sand as a result of the constructive wave action this past summer.

A number of properties have already reopened their doors for business following a summer hiatus, with exciting property upgrades and new programs to broaden their product offering, while at least six new restaurant experiences have been added to Anguilla's already exceptional dining scene. The portfolio of activities available on the island has also been increased with the addition of a number of tours including the "Anguilla After Dark" tour organized by Anguilla Access and the "Anguilla Culture, Food and Art" tour organized by C& C Tours.

According to Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board, Mr. Eustace Guishard, the 2012 season promises to be a positive one, with most of the properties reporting solid bookings for the months of November through February, and beyond.

Anguilla continues to be regarded as a destination of choice among visitors from around the world, offering what many perceive as "the Caribbean vacation experience the way it used to be": no manicured roadsides, no cookie-cutter buildings, no white picket fences, just authentic island living.

Its appeal as a destination continues to derive from its stunning collection of beaches - pristine, powder-white sand, crystalline, azure-blue waters, and balmy trade-winds that ensure a consistent water temperature of 75 degrees; its award-winning five-star resorts, each with their own individual sense of architectural style and beauty, complemented by more affordable signature Charming Escapes properties, guesthouses and inns, and luxurious villa accommodations; its award-winning restaurants that offer eclectic dining experiences in settings that range from elegant chic to casual beachside bistros and roadside Barbecues; and most importantly from its 15,000 welcoming people - warm, genuine and proudly secure in their heritage as Anguillians. These four elements have worked and continue to work together to create an ambiance of tranquility, serenity and security that ensures the peace of mind a visitor needs in order to be free to lose oneself in the vacation experience of a lifetime.
