Global Spa Concept by Hilton Makes European Debut at Hilton Baku This Month

Hilton Hotels & Resorts brings eforea: spa at Hilton, its innovative global spa concept, to Europe this month with an opening at Hilton Baku, the brand's first hotel in Azerbaijan. The spa is situated on the 23rd floor of the new hotel, providing spa guests with views over the Caspian Sea and surrounding Baku cityscape.

"As more eforea: spa at Hilton locations open around the globe, our first location in Europe is another important milestone for us," said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. "This location at Hilton Baku brings eforea: spa at Hilton to four continents and offers stunning city and sea views. This spa will deliver a world class relaxation environment for guests to refresh, rejuvenate and emerge brighter."

eforea: spa at Hilton debuted in October 2010 as the first global spa concept by Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide. Today, 93 eforea: spa at Hilton locations are in development with spas currently open in the United States, Australia, China, New Zealand and Thailand.

eforea: spa at Hilton Baku will feature some of the world's finest spa brands on both the treatment menu and in the retail area. Kerstin Florian offers a progressive range of results-oriented European facial, body and bath products and treatments sourced from natural resources that include algae, mud, herbal extracts, thermal mineral water and essential oils. LI'TYA draws on the revitalizing and restorative powers of Australia's native resources to provide a holistic spa experience. VitaMan provides a comprehensive line of Australian-made natural spa and grooming products formulated specifically for men. Peter Thomas Roth products will complete the eforea offering with products and signature treatments that are an extension of the new in-room bath amenity collection rolling out at Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties around the world by year end.

The 1,500-square-meter spa at Hilton Baku offers eight oversized treatment rooms each with a private shower and dressing room. Luxurious changing areas, transition lounges for relaxation, full body hydro massage beds within the Jacuzzi and traditional hammam are a part of the eforea experience at Hilton Baku. The presidential spa suite features a private steam room and sauna, two treatment beds, a day bed and the most exquisite views of Baku. All areas of the spa were designed to maximize the signature views, including sunrise panoramas from the extensive fitness center and yoga room. The amenities also include an 18-meter lap swimming pool.

Hilton Baku joins the growing collection of Hilton Hotels & Resorts locations currently featuring the eforea: spa at Hilton concept, which to date include: Hilton Short Hills (New Jersey, U.S.A.; opened October 2010); Millennium Hilton Bangkok (Thailand; opened March 2011): Hilton On The Park Melbourne (Australia; opened April 2011); Hilton Pattaya (Thailand; opened May 2011); Hilton Queenstown (New Zealand; opened May 2011); and Hilton Surfers Paradise (Australia; opened September 2011). Locations scheduled to open later this year include Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe (China), Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa (Arizona, U.S.A.), Hilton Doha (Qatar) and a second location in China at Hilton Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Resort.
