A new concept

Generous and elegant surroundings, reminiscent of a grand palace hotel, in an atmosphere of Nordic living, styled around the majesty of natural wood and stone. Altapura flaunts a style of contrasts in a dynamic, festive, convivial and cosmopolitan ambiance.

The hotel of the future
• A concept of ‘feet on the skis’ in the heart of Europe’s highest ski resort; skiing paradise.

• A top-of-the-range approach to the hotel business with a new type of genre aimed specifically at skiing and the well-being of
skiers and mountain lovers, using the latest technology.

• A multi-sensorial space harbouring a haven of conviviality and leisure “mountain style”.

• A visionary and adaptable approach to hotels in altitude.

An iceberg with an intense heart
The melange of warm wood tones and vibrantly coloured soft fabrics, echo in the welcoming bedding and bespoke line of furniture designed by Nicolas and Jean-Louis Sibuet, behind the huge bay windows overlooking the Cime Caron. Natural stone, the major feature in the bathrooms, makes up the final element in
creating this mountain atmosphere.

Contemporary cocoons - 88 bedrooms including 16 suites
The 88 rooms and suites open their doors into a universe of distinctive Nordic influence, conceived with the comfort of skiers in mind. True havens of innovative modern comfort, they have been designed and developed to the needs of skiers, putting modern technology to the forefront and proposing a new interpretation of Scandinavian style, including touches from well-known architects of the 1950s (from Henry Jacques Le Même to Charlotte Perriand, with photos from Slim Aarons).

Spa Pure Altitude
1000m² is dedicated to muscular relaxation, physical preparation and recuperation. The birch tree ambiance continues in the seven treatment cabins where the Pure Altitude health and beauty treatments, exclusive to Altapura, have been developed in total synergy with the needs of the clientele, taking their inspiration from the traditions of the Nordic and Baltic lands.

In order to relax in parallel with the Pure Altitude treatments, head for the pure snow and ice world of the igloo: after plunging into the crisp mineral world of the indoor/outdoor swimming pool opposite la Cime Caron, enter into the Nordic spiral; an alternating world of dry and humid heat, punctuated by a waterfall
showers and culminating in the igloo for some snow treatments. The tour is completed by a relaxation séance with pine fragrances or a Scandinavian massage with the oils of three types of fir tree.

Spa Pure Altitude:

• Pure Altitude treatments and rituals, taking their inspiration from the traditions of the Nordic and Baltic lands
• 7 treatment rooms including a duo room
• Indoor/Outdoor swimming-pool
• Jacuzzi
