Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Melissa Georges Sales Manager for The Inn at Virginia Tech (United States)

Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Melissa Georges sales manager for The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Tom Shaver, Benchmark’s general manager at The Inn at Virginia Tech, made the announcement.
“This represents a return to Blacksburg for Melissa,” said Mr. Shaver. “A highly skilled sales manager with extensive conference center hotel experience, including working for other Benchmark Hospitality properties, Melissa is also a graduate of Virginia Tech. We welcome her back.”
Previously, Melissa Georges was senior sales manager for The Founders Inn and Spa of Virginia Beach, which Benchmark operated at the time. She began with Benchmark Hospitality working in sales for the company’s Cheyenne Mountain Resort of Colorado Springs.
During her tenure with Benchmark Hospitality International, Ms. Georges was part of a special task force that resulted in website redesign. She also previously achieved Benchmark’s Platinum Club for sales success, and was the recipient of Benchmark’s Award of Excellence.
Georges earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Studies and Business from Virginia Polytechnic and State University. She has relocated to the Blacksburg area.
