The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali recently celebrated the completion of its 13 million dollar guestroom revitalization project with a stylish party. Travel agents, partners, media representatives and selected guests were invited to the resort for a poolside gathering under the stars.
Guests attending the re-launch party were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Souvenir photos were taken on top of Westin’s new generation Heavenly® Bed. Entertainment included energizing live music and a dance collaboration by renowned Balinese dancer Nyoman Sura. While a fashion parade featuring the latest collection by Australian celebrity designer, Camilla Franks, was a definite highlight of the evening.
Food stalls surrounding the pool featured an exceptional selection of cuisine including Westin’s healthy living SuperFood Rx options. Different brand initiatives were also on display, complete with room and facility set-ups to provide a true Westin experience. The evening was enhanced by a generous array of door prizes donated by Starwood hotels and resorts from around Asia Pacific. And in an effort to raise funds for the resort’s preferred charity, UNICEF Check Out For Children Program, there was also a lively auction of hotel vouchers as well as a Heavenly® Bed.
General Manager of the resort, Mr. Bipan Kapur, took the stage to thank guests for their support. He also emphasized some of the major changes that have taken place at the property over the course of the last 12 months. The resort now features 334 sleek and sophisticated rooms and suites with a distinct tropical edge. This fresh new look is set to offer an elevated Westin experience for guests to revive, renew and feel at their best. The refurbishment aims to provide excellent service to the resort’s three main markets:
Conference delegates will benefit from the latest AV entertainment ports, iPod connectivity, and high speed internet connection.
Leisure guests will appreciate extra space, ergonomic room set-ups and a trendy but functional bathroom.
Family guests can enjoy separate bedrooms for parents and children with extra dining and utility space - just like a home away from home.
Mr. Kapur also took the opportunity to formally introduce Executive Chef, Ewald Jeske, who has just joined the resort and was responsible for all the amazing food served during the party. With the refurbishment complete and supported by Westin’s unique brand initiatives, Mr. Kapur truly believes that guests will now be able to leave the hotel changed on a physical, mental and spiritual level, with their wellness preserved and enhanced.
