The Royal Garden Hotel has moved to strengthen its international business position with the appointment of Jason Li as business development manager China and South East Asia.
Responsible for managing and growing corporate and leisure group accounts, Jason moves internally from his previous role of general manager at Min Jiang, the hotel’s renowned Chinese restaurant. Working at the hotel since 2008, Jason launched the restaurant and was instrumental in it achieving three AA rosettes.
Graduating from Oxford Brookes University with an MSc in international hotel and tourism management in 2001, Jason started his career as assistant restaurant manager at Hakkasan before working in a number of departments at the Dorchester hotel.
Jason comments: “Having worked at the Royal Garden Hotel for over three years I am very proud to be given this opportunity to build and manage the hotel’s corporate reputation across Asia and China. This is an increasingly important market for us and offers an exciting time both for me and the hotel and I am looking forward to the new challenges this position brings.”
Mark Anderson, director of sales and marketing at Royal Garden Hotel says: “Jason has been integral in the rise of the Min Jiang restaurant and making it one of the capital’s finest eateries. With extensive people management, operational and leadership skills, Jason was the natural choice for this role and is well placed to continue to significantly contribute to the hotel’s success.”
