Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Kim Martinez director of sales for Lansdowne Resort, the landmark property located near Leesburg, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Warren Breaux, director of sales and marketing for the resort, made the announcement.
“I am very pleased to welcome Kim to our property,” said Mr. Breaux. “She brings senior-level sales and leadership abilities to Lansdowne Resort gained at major properties throughout the United States, in addition to meeting, conference and special events credentials.”
Kim Martinez was previously director of sales at the Marriott Grand Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama, a property similar in size to Lansdowne Resort. While in this position, she earned both the Regional and Global Sales Leader of the Year Awards, as well as the Golden Circle Award. Ms. Martinez has served as national sales manager at signature properties in California. She has been a consistent top producer in sales for room nights, RevPar and incremental revenue.
Martinez received her Bachelors degree from Bradley University. She is a member of Meeting Planners International, Society of Incentive Travel Executives and Professional Convention Management Association. Ms. Martinez has relocated to Leesburg, Virginia.
