Mark Heather, Regional Managing Director of Absolute Hotel Services India announced the appointment of Subhasis Sarkar as Regional Director of Sales, effective June 1, 2011.
As Regional Director of Sales, Subhasis is responsible to overseeing the daily operations of the sales activities, setting up strategy to drive sales revenue and implementation based on process and standard procedure, managing existing clients as well as expanding clients base for both inbound and outbound. His responsibility will cover all the hotels and resorts under the management of Absolute Hotel Services India including branded U Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Hotels & Residences and Eastin Easy as well as all non branded hotels.
Prior to joining Absolute Hotel Services India, Subhasis has gained more than 17 years of experience in sales and business development from The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, Jaypee Hotels Limited, The Park Hotels Group and Choice Hotoels International respectively. He was responsible for achieving the desired reveue targets as well as implementing innovative strategies for the hotels. Subhasis graduated with a bachelor degree in sociology and political science from North Bengal University.
