New pool experience is inspired by the elements and overall serenity.

Four Seasons Resort Hualālai at Historic Ka‘ūpūlehu, the first and only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star resort on Hawai ‘i Island, introduces the Palm Grove Pool Experience.

“We’re renowned for our pools here, and our new Palm Grove Pool is yet another incredible experience our guests can enjoy during their stay with us,” says Robert Whitfield, general manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualālai. “Everything from the design of the pool and its furnishings to the nature-inspired amenities and cocktails speak to our quest to continually set the bar higher when it comes to the world’s best resort pool experiences.”

The tension-edged saline/chlorine pool, measures approximately 40 feet (12 metres) from its basalt entry steps to its ocean-facing crescent edge, and 50 feet (15 metres) across. The Jacuzzi measures 8 feet by 16 feet (2.4 by 4.8 metres) and is set against a 2,500 square foot (230 square metre) deck, made from Brazilian ipe hardwood and basalt planking. Seating areas are composed of 24 lounge chairs by the pool, seven day beds in semi-private areas off the deck, and two hammocks. Miniature zen gardens are set on all lounge chair side tables, while fragrant gardenia and plumeria surround the pool for a hint of natural aromatherapy.

All guests of Palm Grove are serviced with hourly poolside pampering, inspired by the elements: coconut water and aloe refresher shots (water), warm lava stone pressure point placement (fire), thermal mud hand and body lotion (earth) and organic aromatherapy-infused oshiburi towels (air). Additionally, organic eye pillows with essential oils are offered, along with a rotating selection of infused waters, sunscreen, reading materials and wooden board games.

A swim-up bar and bench seating within the pool ensures prime locations for sampling the Resort’s signature “adult shave ice” cocktails. Flavours range from pineapple or yuzu margarita to thyme berry cooler and sake pom-tini. A selection of nature-inspired cocktails is offered, including the Green Tea Mojito and Peach Smash. All juices are fresh squeezed, while herbs for cocktails are grown poolside. A locally-sourced menu features sushi, salads, wraps and sandwiches – overall, 75% of the Resort’s food is from Hawaii Island.

The Resort is offering its Stay Longer - Sixth Night Free package (providing guests with a complimentary sixth night) and its Bring a Friend package (50% off a second room for friends or family) through July 21, 2011.
