Queen Kapi‘olani looks great after completion of a $5 million refurbishment and upgrade and her crowning glory is evident as soon as you enter the hotel.
Located at 150 Kapahulu Avenue, Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel is a 19-story, 310-room hotel offering a range of guest rooms—most with private lānai with magnificent panoramas of Diamond Head, Waikīkī Beach and Kapi`olani Park. Guests appreciate its close proximity to the ocean as well as the many amenities offered including a minirefrigerator, coffeemaker and daily local newspaper. Hotel amenities include third floor swimming pool and sundeck, ballroom and event facilities, Kūlana Terrace Restaurant & Bar and more.
Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel opened for business in 1969 and pays tribute to its namesake, Queen Kapi‘olani, wife of Hawai‘i’s seventh and last ruling King. Gracing the hotel are museum-quality paintings of both King Kalākaua and Queen Kapi‘olani, along with their niece, Princess Ka‘iulani. True to its cultural heritage, the hotel’s mission is to “tell the story of Hawai‘i through the Queen’s eyes and welcome guests from around the world.”
