Terri Woodin, CMP, has joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) as Director of Sales in their West Region. In her new position she is responsible for providing meeting professionals, association executives, convention specialists, and business executives with ALHI National Sales service for its distinctive portfolio of more than 130 Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts worldwide, which offer over 100,000 rooms and suites and more than 10 million square feet of meeting space. Woodin will primarily focus on business development in Northern California, Washington (state), and Oregon, plus other strategic accounts. The announcement of Woodin’s appointment was made jointly by ALHI President and CEO David Gabri and ALHI Regional Vice President Chris Riccardi.

ALHI (www.alhi.com) is a prestigious dues-based membership National Sales organization that exclusively provides National Sales services for its member hotels and resorts to the meetings and incentive marketplace. There is no cost to planners’ or executives’ organizations to utilize the National Sales services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the organization to serve planners.

“Terri is an exceptional, very well-respected, and innovative sales professional who is adept at finding the best site solutions for her clients,” said Gabri. “She is an outstanding addition to our ALHI National Sales team, and we are delighted to add her as another outstanding resource for meeting professionals and executives in the West Region.”

Prior to joining ALHI, Woodin served for six years as Director of West Coast National Sales for hinton+grusich, which was acquired by ALHI in January 2011. A highly-regarded leader and strategist, she has been working in the hospitality industry for 27 years in a variety of positions, which include conference services, catering sales, hotel and resort group sales, and national sales.

Woodin is an active member of many industry organizations. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Network for the Needy of the Meetings Industry Council, and is the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Northern California Chapter Committee Chair of Community Outreach. She also was just appointed Director of Education for the MPI Northern California Chapter on the 2011-2012 Board. Over the years she has held various Board and Committee positions with Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and MPI. She was named the MPI Northern California Chapter “Meeting Professional of the 3rd Quarter 2009-2010,” awarded the 2009 “WOW” NSO Service Award by Meeting Sites Resources, and named the “2008 National Salesperson of the Year” by ConferenceDirect. She is also a part-time faculty member in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management at Metropolitan State College of Denver. She may be reached at twoodin@alhi.com.

With the addition of Woodin, ALHI’s national sales professionals staff expands to 50 in North America.
