Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) today announced that it has named Oliver Dupont to the newly-created position of vice president of European development. In this new position, Dupont will focus on building and strengthening our business relationships and revenue opportunities with current and potential franchisees, hotel developers, and investors throughout the continent of Europe.
Dupont reports to Senior Vice President of Global Development David Pepper.
Dupont comes to Choice with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in a wide range of roles from property-level operations to franchise services to franchise development. Most recently, Dupont served as senior vice president, international development for Wyndham Worldwide, where he led international development in Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent.
"Olivier will be an excellent addition to our franchise sales leadership team and the Choice organization," said Pepper. "He joins us with extensive franchise development experience, the ability to cultivate high-value long-term relationships with developers and owners, and a proven track record of successful brand growth. I am confident his addition will help spur the expansion of our European footprint."
Prior to joining Wyndham, Olivier was a director of international development for Marriott International and worked in franchise services for Intercontinental Hotels. He also served as a general manager at a number of properties.
Olivier holds a degree in advanced hotel management from Witwatersrand Hotel School in Johannesburg, South Africa.
