Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport’s four sophisticated dining and entertainment destinations take Shunyi district dining to new heights and attract the high-flying social scene. Hopping into the Year of the Rabbit

Chinese New Year falls on 03 February this year, and there is no finer place to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with family, friends and colleagues than at mod-Chinese fine dining restaurant Ming Court. Cantonese chef Chan Yuen Lung has prepared a selection of auspicious New Year banqueting menus accompanied by fine wines, available for lunch and dinner from 31 January to 12 February 2011. Expect Prime Cantonese Suckling Pig, South African Abalone with Mushrooms to bring good luck for the year ahead!

True Valentine’s Day Romance

The romance of Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport reaches new heights this Valentine’s Day. Whether you wish to woo your Valentine via the East or the West, there are love-struck Valentine’s evenings planned at both Ming Court and Fuel on 14 February. A Chinese dinner in a private room at Ming Court overlooking the lake guarantees to impress, with delicacies such as Sweet & Sour Grouper Fish Ball catering to your lady and enhancing the mood; or go ‘Old School Valentine’ at Fuel, with sharing platters, bubbly and roses, and a DJ spinning retro love classics.

Steak n Ribs Fest

In February, ‘Steakhouse @ Fuel’ shows that a little ‘aging’ is not a bad thing. A selection of 60-day dry-aged prime beef cuts, char-grilled to perfection over an apple wood BBQ, are available from just RMB120. Spoilt for choice? We have 5 different draft beers and 10 wines by the glass, and for the more adventurous, try “The Madam” Sparkling Merlot from Australia. Other fabulous Fuel promotions include ‘Tickle your Ribs’ RMB100 ribs in January, and ‘2-4-1 Pints and Pizzas’ between 4-8pm continues. Kids under 12 continue to eat for free during January, with an accompanying paying adult.

Feast & Fly Lucky Draw

If the idea of a weekend for two in Shanghai sounds enticing, then come enjoy the extravagant seasonal buffet feasts at The Place during January and February to enter the draw. Chef Chan Yuen Lung presents delicious and nutritious ‘Double Boiled Soups’ at Ming Court, the perfect antidote to winter.

Fuel promises to ‘Tickle your Ribs’ with lots of yummy styles of succulent ribs priced at RMB100 – and your first drink on us.

Kick back with ‘2-4-1 Pints and Pizzas’ at Fuel. That’s right, between 4-8pm daily, Fuel is offering ‘buy one get one free’ on its famous thin-crust pepperoni pizzas and selected house drinks.

Kids under 12 years eat for absolutely free at Fuel and The Place during January, when accompanied by a paying adult.

FEBRUARY BUZZ

‘Feast & Fly’ at The Place concludes. Each diner enters the draw to win trip to Shanghai, dining vouchers and discount cards. Buffet priced at RMB150 for lunch and RMB180 for dinner.

It’s ‘Crab Month’ at Ming Court. Chef Chan Yuen Lung selects prize crabs fresh-flown from Australia, and prepares them in dazzling dishes like ‘baked crab with black truffles and pumpkin’ and ‘steamed crab with aged yellow wine’.

‘Steakhouse @ Fuel’ highlights perfectly aged premium beef throughout February. Enjoy 30-day and 60-day dry-aged prime beef cuts, char-grilled to perfection over apple wood, from just RMB120.

Kick back with ‘2-4-1 Pints and Pizzas’ at Fuel. That’s right, between 4-8pm daily, Fuel is offering ‘buy one get one free’ on its famous thin-crust pepperoni pizzas and selected house drinks.

Ming Court’s Master Chef prepares a romantic Valentine’s Day Cantonese set menu on February 14. To really impress, book one of the private rooms overlooking the lake.

Fuel goes ‘Old School Valentine’ with a tasting menu for two, bubbly, roses and DJ spinning retro loves songs from the legends of sexy music (you know you can’t get enough of your love babe!). Set menu RMB260 per person, including a glass of Proscecco and rose for your Valentine.

There’s no finer way to ring in the ‘Year of the Rabbit’ than at Ming Court. Auspicious New Year menus available from 31 January to 12 February 2011. Set menus at RMB1,000 and RMB 1,300 paired with wine, or table menus from RMB2,888 - RMB5,888 per table.
