Dolce Names Michael Botha Area Director of Revenue Management

Dolce Hotels and Resorts, operator of 27 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, has appointed Michael Botha area director of revenue management.
Michael Botha D 11-2010.jpgHe will support seven of Dolce’s managed hotels: Dolce Norwalk in Connecticut; Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree in Peachtree City, Ga.; The H Hotel in Midland, Mich.; IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center in New York; IBM Learning Center in Armonk, N.Y.; The William F. Bolger Center for Leadership Management in Potomac, Md.; and Spencer Leadership Center in London, Ontario, Canada.
Botha previously was director of revenue management for The Hotel Viking, a 209-room hotel with 13,000 square feet of meeting space in Newport, R.I., where his responsibilities included revenue analysis, business evaluation, yield management and implementation of promotions and packages.
From 2003 to 2006, he served as revenue manager for two jointly managed properties, the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa, a 285-room resort with 20,000 square feet of meeting space in Groton, Conn., and Courtyard Providence Warwick, a 92-room airport hotel in Warwick, R.I.
Earlier in his career, Botha worked for Octagon Steakhouse in Groton; Beverly Hills Hotel in Durban, South Africa; Waterville Valley Ski Resort in Waterville, N.H.; and Delmot Caldow Caterers in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Botha is a 2002 graduate of the Technikon Witwatersrand Hotel School in Johannesburg, where he received a national diploma in hospitality management.
