Major improvement to the airline’s services on ground

Air Mauritius flights to and from London Heathrow Airport are moving from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 as from Wednesday 24th November 2010.

The move to Terminal 4 provides enhanced benefits to our customers. Terminal 4 is conveniently located with easy parking space. The departure and arrival areas have been newly refurbished with a range of modern and useful facilities, shops and restaurants as well as more spacious seating areas for passengers and accompanying persons. VAT refund counters are available next to the check-in area in the departure hall or another one airside.

Air Mauritius eligible customers (mainly Business Class Travellers and holders of Air Mauritius Kestrelflyer Gold card) will use the Skyteam lounge which is ideally located airside, a short walk from most gates and from the most prestigious retail shops. The spacious two-floor facility provides exceptional service and high-end comforts with superb amenities to work, relax, dine or catch up on reading. Exclusive services include massage chairs, showers, day beds, oxygen bar, play stations, pods, VIP rooms and business areas with free WIFI access.

Alitalia, our ground handling agents already operate at Terminal 4 and will therefore be in a unique position to assist our passengers at our dedicated check-in desks in Zone D. Mr Sudh Ramjutun, Vice President – Ground Operations of Air Mauritius stated, “We are delighted with the opportunity to tremendously improve our ground product as we move to the newly refurbished Terminal 4 at London Heathrow. Our teams in the UK and in Mauritius have been working very hard with the Airport Authorities to ensure that we have a smooth transition. We are confident that our customers will be delighted with this major improvement and will make the most of the many facilities available.”
