· GLOBAL LUXURY TRAVEL INDUSTRY INCREASING YEAR ON YEAR
· INDUSTRY MEETS AT ‘INVITATION-ONLY’, PRIVATE GLOBAL EVENT – INTERNATIONAL LUXURY TRAVEL MARKET (ILTM)
6 – 9 December 2010: Cannes, France / www.iltm.net

The world’s most elite luxury travel specialists will meet in Cannes in December to source new ideas for 2011 and beyond at the leading ‘by-invitation-only’ International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM).

Debbie Joslin, Group Exhibition Director at ILTM comments:

“The high-end travel industry is reporting confidence in the face of an increasingly buoyant market, with elite tour operators such as the UK’s Elegant Resorts and Seasons reporting an increase in sales of up to 25% year on year as we prepare to meet at ILTM.”

The most established brand names in luxury travel from over 70 countries across the world have been approved to attend this year’s ILTM including Relais & Chateaux, The Peninsula Hotels, One&Only, Orient Express Hotels & Resorts and Four Seasons. There are also some 300 new high-end travel suppliers attending, which will introduce new, luxurious yet authentic experiences to the luxury travel specialists attending. These include private islands such as Song Saa in Cambodia, secluded properties such as Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania, Gordon Campbell Gray’s Le Gray in Lebanon, the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem, stunning spas and wellbeing experiences including Europe’s first Chuan Spa, private jets, incredible destinations, unique attractions such as Condor Travel in Peru and adventure experiences such as Wilderness Safaris in Australia.

The ILTM Ultratravel Forum on the eve of ILTM (Monday 6 December) will bring together two heavy-weight discussion panels to debate ‘How have the demands of the luxury traveller changed’ and ‘Finding and satisfying high-yield travellers in today’s market’.

International tourism magnate and renowned hotelier Sol Kerzner will also take part in an exclusive, one-to-one live interview at the close of the Ultratravel Forum.

Naysla Edwards, Director of Travel Benefits Marketing at American Express added:

“ILTM really is the greatest gathering of who’s who in the luxury travel industry. It is of enormous importance for American Express to participate, not only is it a chance to meet with our key suppliers, but also an opportunity to discover what’s new and what trends are emerging in the industry.”
