Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), which serves the meetings and incentive/recognition marketplaces with its National Sales responsibilities for its membership of more than 125 Four- and Five-Diamond hotels and resorts worldwide, named the new Loews Atlanta Hotel as the recipient of its prestigious “Chairman’s Award” as the “ALHI Hotel of the Year” for 2010. The award is given annually to the ALHI member hotel or resort that best displays extraordinary leadership with their property, exemplifies “Commitment to Performance” in the marketplace, and epitomizes the “partner relationship” with ALHI. The award was presented at ALHI’s annual Industry Advisory Council conference, which was conducted at the oceanfront Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

David Gabri (right), president and CEO of ALHI, and G.A. Taylor Fernley (left), president and CEO of Fernley & Fernley, Inc. and 2010 ALHI Industry Advisory Council Chairman, presented the award to (from left): Dale McDaniel, managing director of Loews Atlanta Hotel, and Steve Spivak, director of sales & marketing for Loews Atlanta Hotel.

“Loews Atlanta Hotel is truly deserving of this award,” said Gabri. “It is an exceptional new hotel in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, with a truly outstanding executive team and staff. Meeting professionals and our National Sales team just love this new hotel, and working with this team is fun, efficient, and accommodating at every level.”

The modern and luxurious Loews Atlanta Hotel, which opened in 2010, is ideally located in Atlanta’s Midtown section, near the city’s best shopping, dining and cultural attractions. Offering 414 guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, the hotel also features over 40,000 square feet of flexible, column-free event space, which includes a 14,000-square-foot exhibit hall, and an 11,100-square-foot ballroom. Additional offerings include the Exhale spa, and an 8,000-square-foot fitness center. The hotel is just blocks from Piedmont Park and Woodruff Arts Center, and is 12 miles from Atlanta-Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
