Meeting professionals, incentive/recognition & product specialists, and association executives interested in conducting a meeting, convention and program at a beach, island, and/or golf resort should check out the two new specialty segments that were just unveiled by Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). The “ALHI Golf Collection” consists of ALHI’s 42 Four- and Five-Diamond golf resorts that cater to the meetings and incentives marketplaces, with over 1,000 holes of championship golf. The “ALHI Beach & Island Collection” features 33 Four- and Five-Diamond beach and/or island resorts and hotels with distinction which are designed to serve meetings and programs worldwide.

ALHI (www.alhi.com) is a prestigious dues-based National Sales organization, which is dedicated exclusively and authorized specifically by the 125+ Four- and Five-Diamond quality member hotels and resorts that it serves. Established in 1986, ALHI offers over 100,000 rooms and suites, and more than 10 million square feet of meeting space in its extraordinary portfolio of the best venues for meetings. There is no cost to planners’ or executives’ organizations to utilize the National Sales services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the National Sales organization to serve planners in their regions.

“ALHI has one of the largest collections – if not THE largest collection – of golf resorts, and exceptional beach and island properties,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “These two new specialty segments provide an easy avenue for planners to quickly find outstanding options for their specific program and event needs. So whether you’re interested in conducting a meeting at one of the world’s finest golf resorts, or at an incredible beach or island destination, these specialty segments will make planners’ jobs much easier, with quick access to property details, with lots of photos at your fingertips.”

Gabri added, “Planners should be pleased to know that business at golf and beach resorts is UP, and it is okay to mix productive business sessions with golf afterward, and/or an event on the beach. These two new specialty segments were created to help planners coordinate these programs.”

The launch of these two new collections follows five other specialty segments launched by ALHI in 2010. The “ALHI Level 5 Collection” consists of ALHI’s 17 member hotels and resorts that have earned the highest and most distinctive class recognitions including the prestigious AAA Five-Diamond rating, and/or the esteemed Forbes (Mobil) Five-Star rating. The “ALHI Big Box 5-50 Solutions Collection,” created for planners of larger programs, features ALHI’s 26 member hotels and resorts that offer more than 500 rooms, feature over 50,000 square feet of meeting space, and have at least one 20,000-square-foot ballroom. The “Mountain Collection” offers 23 mountain view resorts, for planners desiring to conduct programs with inspiring mountain views. The “ALHI Historic Collection” consists of 36 legendary hotels and resorts with more than 50 years of heritage. The “ALHI U-200 Gems Collection” consists of exclusive meeting solutions with 200 rooms or under.

With trends showing resorts are back in style for meetings, and to make it easy for planners to access options within any of the specialty segments, there is an “ALHI Specialty Segments” quick reference button on the www.alhi.com Home Page. The button provides easy access for planners to see the options available in each specialty segment. On the site, planners can quickly see details of the properties’ meeting, accommodation, recreational and dining offerings, as well as destination information and “Luxury on Sale” value opportunities. A photo gallery, meeting floor plans and specs, and a location map for each property are also easily available.
