Luxury Travel Expo, produced by Luxury Travel Advisor and Travel Agent magazine, has announced the 2010 “Leaders in Luxury” award winners. The awards, held during the expo’s Thursday General Session, will be presented to individuals who demonstrate superior leadership in four categories – Hotel, Cruise, Tour and Travel Professional. The ceremony will be held on December 9th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Luxury Travel Expo will be held from December 7-9, 2010 in Las Vegas.
“Our Leaders in Luxury Awards Class of 2010 truly represent excellence in luxury travel service,” commented Ruthanne Terrero, vice president of content and editorial director for The Travel Group. “They are deserving recipients whose leadership, hard work and dedication are unmatched while continually exemplifying innovation in their respective travel sectors.”
The award recipients are carefully selected by the editors of Luxury Travel Advisor and Travel Agent magazine. The winners are: George Butterfield, co-founder and director, Butterfield & Robinson Travel (Tour); Richard Bailey, president and director, PBSC, and chief executive officer, Paul Gauguin Cruises (Cruise); Alan Fuerstman, founder and chief executive officer, Montage Hotels and Resorts (Hotel); and Nancy Strong, chief executive officer, Strong Travel Services (Travel Professional).
A valid Luxury Travel Expo badge is required for admission to the awards ceremony and is open to registered travel agent attendees and exhibitors. Complete coverage on the awards program will appear in an upcoming issue of Travel Agent magazine.
