Editors of influential travel title The Sunday Times Travel Magazine have named Hôtel de la Paix in Siem Reap as one of the ‘100 Best Hotels In The World’ in their annual list. Hôtel de la Paix is the only hotel in Cambodia to appear in the list, beating countless competitors from prominent international luxury brands.
The new ‘100 Best Hotels In The World’ list, published in the November 2010 issue of The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, is complied by a team of expert travel writers who spent many months visiting, comparing and exhaustively researching hundreds of hotels across the world. The Sunday Times Travel Magazine editors noted some of the unique features at Hôtel de la Paix such as the innovative Arts Lounge gallery which hosts ever-changing exhibitions and the excellent Khmer food at the hotel’s signature Meric restaurant. It is also recommended that readers experience a massage with a blind therapist after exploring the magnificent Angkor Wat temples.
This is one of a string of accolades for Hôtel de la Paix this year, including ‘Best in Cambodia’ in the Travel & Leisure ‘T+L 2010 World’s Best Awards’, highlighting the hotel’s commitment to deliver exceptional service and passion for excellence. Condé Nast Traveler recognised the valuable and authentic community work the hotel is committed to in its 2010 World Savers Awards, with two honourable mentions in the ‘Education Programs’ and ‘Poverty Relief’ categories.
