Pan Pacific Hotels Group announced today that its agreement to operate Pan Pacific Bangkok hotel in Thailand until the end of 2010 will not be renewed.
The Group has managed the hotel, owned by Ramaland Development Co. Ltd., under the Pan Pacific brand since 1995. Ramaland Development Co. Ltd is owned by Kajima Corporation Japan.
Pan Pacific Hotels Group currently operates Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok – which opened earlier this year – in the trendy lifestyle district of Thonglor.
Thailand is a key growth market for Pan Pacific Hotels Group, which is rapidly expanding its hotel portfolio under the PARKROYAL and Pan Pacific brands in Southeast Asia, Greater China, North America and Oceania.
“We have had a great relationship with Ramaland Development Co. Ltd the last 15 years and we wish them every success with the property,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
“We will be strongly pursuing new opportunities for our brands in Bangkok and Thailand. We are confident of the long term prospects of this amazing country and it will not be long before we find that brand-defining and brand-relevant hotel for us.”
By the end this year, the Group will have opened six properties including Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok, Pan Pacific Suzhou, Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, PARKROYAL Darling Harbour Sydney and PARKROYAL Parramatta. Pan Pacific Perth opens in January 2011.
